An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Fraser Coast Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit, Hervey Bay Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Eligible Applicants who move to Queensland from an interstate or international jurisdiction to take up permanent or temporary greater than 12 months employment may receive up to $20,000 incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Scheme Your opportunity: Deliver high level clinical Social Work services within the Fraser Coast Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit to ensure optimal assessment, clinical intervention, and discharge planning occurs for health service consumers as part of a broader multidisciplinary team.Work collaboratively with consumers and multidisciplinary professionals to provide high level clinical care and a therapeutic environment conducive to the dignity and wellbeing of consumers and carers within Mental Health and Specialised Services. Provide high level profession specific services, consultation and support, as required, within the team and service.Provide expert advice on effective service delivery throughout the review and redevelopment of a newly expanded model of care, to include contemporary multidisciplinary services within the Fraser Coast Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit.Permanent Full Time (76 hours p.f.) and Permanent Part Time Positions (hours negotiable). From 9 th December 2019 all new employees will be required to be assessed for their risk of Tuberculosis (TB). Our offer: You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $152,775 p.a., comprising salary between $124,435 - $133,901 p.a. (f/t) or salary between $62.76 - $67.53 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f., and Permanent Part Time Positions, hours negotiable).
