The Social Worker (AHP2) utilizes clinical expertise and a blend of generalist and specialist knowledge to design, implement, and evaluate services for rural and remote communities.
With reduced clinical direction, they may supervise less experienced allied health professionals and students.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Social Worker employs strategies like preventative care, early intervention, individual therapy, group programs, and community development projects to enhance community well-being.
As a Social Worker (AHP1), you'll play a crucial role in delivering a comprehensive range of health services tailored to the needs of our vibrant local community, all under the clinical support of the Senior Social Worker and guidance from the Allied Health Program Manager.
You'll be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with health professionals and service providers from various sectors, employing a mix of preventative, early intervention, treatment, and evaluation strategies.
This position offers the unique opportunity to reside in one of several beautiful communities, including Port Lincoln, Elliston, Streaky Bay, Ceduna, Wudinna, Cleve, Cowell, Kimba, Tumby Bay, or Cummins.

Key Responsibilities: AHP2
Apply and develop generalist and specialist knowledge, clinical competence, and experience to deliver professional services to client groups in complex practice scenarios. Exercise professional judgment to select and adapt established methods, procedures, and techniques relevant to the field. Provide a wide range of clinical and consultative services across various settings, including one-on-one sessions, group activities, and health promotion initiatives. Manage and prioritize your own workload while assisting others in developing effective workload management plans, including the allocation of team resources. AHP1
Provide a broad range of clinical services by selecting, adopting, and applying well-established methods, procedures, and standards. Exercise professional judgment within prescribed areas, collaborating with a Clinical Senior to verify methods and outcomes. Deliver straightforward clinical services, including one-on-one sessions, group activities, and health promotion initiatives. Effectively manage and prioritize your personal workload to ensure timely service delivery. What We're Looking For: Must hold a recognised qualification within the relevant allied health profession and be eligible for full membership of the relevant Professional Association (Australian Association of Social Workers).
