About the RoleWe're seeking a passionate Social Worker to play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities in Port Hedland.
This role will see you working directly with Aboriginal communities to provide counseling, advocacy, and support, fostering collaboration with local service providers to deliver holistic, culturally aware care.
Key Responsibilities Provide mental health counselling and support to clients and families.Conduct assessments to identify and address client needs.Collaborate with healthcare and social service teams to coordinate comprehensive care.Build strong relationships with local community services and advocate for clients.Support community health initiatives, focusing on child and maternal health.What You'll Bring Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.Experience: Proven background in working with issues like neglect, domestic violence, and mental health, particularly within Aboriginal communities.Skills: Strong communication, cultural sensitivity, and organisational skills.Requirements: Current manual driver's license, Working with Children clearance, and current police clearance.Residency Requirement: Must be an Australian resident for working purposes; unfortunately, no visa sponsorship is available for this role.Why Join Us?
