About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Social Work Department at GV Health. In this position you will enjoy working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Mary Coram Rehabilitation Unit providing Social Work support to patients admitted for Palliative Care, Rehabilitation or Geriatric Evaluation and Management. This position may also include work in the Acute Units and Specialist Clinics.
Working as a member of a cohesive team, you will be well supported as you manage a diverse caseload providing practical and emotional support to patients and their families to assist in the management of changes to their health and wellbeing.
Grade 1 or 2 Social Workers will be considered.
We are looking for:
An approved tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Demonstrated skills in assessment and intervention options for patients with diverse and complex psychosocial circumstances Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an active member of an interdisciplinary team Demonstrated time management and organisational skills in the management of a clinical caseload and non-clinical responsibilities Why work at GV Health?
