Department of HealthCommunity, Mental Health & WellbeingCMHW - MH & Statewide ServicesApplications must be submitted by Thursday 09 January, 2025 11:55 PM AESTAward/Classification:Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement, Allied Health Professional, Level 3Employment type:Full TimeRegion:NorthLocation:46 Cameron Street, LauncestonProvide quality Social Work services utilising evidence-based and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.As part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services in accordance with Mental Health service principles, National Safety and Quality Health Service standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies, the Social Worker:Provides quality Social Work service utilising evidence-based and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.Provides evidence-based assessments and therapeutic interventions to clients of a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team, and their families, in relation to mental health issues.Acts as a consultant to other Agencies with regard to the support and management of clients with mental health needs and promotes community awareness in relation to mental health and well-being.The Role:Ensure the delivery of a comprehensive clinical service through the provision of assessment, case management and individual therapies, including specialised therapies for clients and their families or carers.Provide evidence-based assessment and treatment interventions for major and complex mental health problems, including assertive case management for a group of clients and the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.Engage with and provide advice and consultation to the CAMHS multidisciplinary team, including assisting the multidisciplinary team in triage, crisis response and intake rosters as required.Provide education and support to other Mental Health professionals and service providers on the assessment and management of child and adolescent mental health problems.Details of appointment:Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 13 June 2025.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.$110,425 to $126,703 per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.Benefits available to eligible candidates:Professional development and accelerated pathways.Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible.Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social WorkersEligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)Current Working with Children Registration.What it is like working at the Department of Health?Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellent are the key values to work in Department of Health.
