This role will provide discipline specific leadership to Social Workers within the Community Acute Services, Mental Health and Specialised Services division at West Moreton Hospital and Health Services to ensure high quality, evidence informed practice.
The purpose of this role is to provide contemporary, advanced level social work services and discipline specific leadership within Community and Acute Services (CAS), Mental Health and Specialised Services, West Moreton Health (WMH). This role contributes to strategic relationships with services and networks that assist with improved psycho-social outcomes for consumers with portfolios in domestic and family violence, housing and homelessness; and family work.
About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Advanced level of social work clinical knowledge, expertise and skill in the area of mental health.Ability to provide highly qualified expert advice to senior managers and other stakeholders on social work and broader allied health workforce service needs across mental health services.Ability to provide and coordinate advanced profession specific clinical practice supervision and professional support to social workers of varying levels of expertise and skills, together with an extensive knowledge of supervision models and the relevant supervision guidelines endorsed by Queensland Health and health professional peak bodies.Ability to contribute effectively as an Advanced Practitioner to the strategic direction including instituting accountability for healthcare services operating across WMH service areas.Ability to provide an advanced level of acumen in the planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of social work interventions and programs.West Moreton Health is one of the most rapidly evolving health services in the south east corner, with a community growth expected to almost double to more than 588,000 by 2036.
