The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person, right here in The Shire.
From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga, baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords… whatever you love, you can share it with someone who loves it too.
As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living in their own home.
We are seeking a friendly volunteer to visit a Senior Gentleman at home in Matraville. Our client loves NRL, particularly South Sydney Rabbitohs, horse racing, rugby, and a good chat. His background is working on forklifts around Sydney's wharfs, and he would enjoy meeting someone to visit him weekly or fortnightly for a cuppa and a chat. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

RequirementsWe'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one-hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday. Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
