Social Volunteer (Knitting and Gardening), Hammond At Home, GymeaHammondCare is an independent Christian charity specialising in dementia care, palliative care, rehabilitation, specialist mental health for older people, and other health and aged services.

The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person, right here in The Shire.

From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga, baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords… whatever you love, you can share it with someone who loves it too.

As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living in their own home.

We are seeking a friendly volunteer to visit an elderly lady at home for a cuppa and a chat. Our client loves all things wool! She enjoys knitting, gardening, her little pet budgie, and spending time reminiscing. Please reach out if you would like to meet our client and volunteer with HammondCare. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit and for yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the clients cared for by HammondCare.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements• 18 years or older
• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one-hour visit between 9 am and 4 pm, Monday to Sunday. Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
