They will have a compelling writing style, a knack for making content engaging and accessible to a variety of audiences, strong attention to detail and experience in creating high-quality short-form video and photography.The successful applicant will have proven experience in taking responsibility for project deliverables and achieving quality outcomes. They will approach their work with a strategic mindset, flexibility and an understanding of how social media is used in a government agency.Responsibilities of the position include:Under the direction of the Social Media Manager, implementing the social media strategy and supporting specific campaign strategies.Supporting the development and maintenance of social media campaigns for the whole of Museum, including temporary exhibitions, permanent galleries, public programs and events.Sourcing, developing and publishing content for social media channels, ensuring high levels of creativity and quality.Supporting the development of paid social media campaigns that grow and engage the Museum's social media audience.Liaising with photography and media services to produce photography and video content suitable for social media roll out.Contributing to social media scheduling, monitoring and moderating.Using social media analytics, monitoring and reporting tools.Following social media trends, innovations and best practice in order to embrace new developments and opportunities.Assisting in the evaluation of and reporting on social media activities and outcomes.Being prepared to work outside standard business hours, to monitor social media as required (including some weekends, special events and exhibition openings).An interest in the cultural sector and skills related to videography and photography are considered favourably.Applicants must respond to each of the following selection criteria (maximum of 2 pages), provide a current CV and include contact details for two referees in their application.1. Capabilities and skillsDemonstrated experience in running successful, creative, professional social media campaigns across multiple platforms that deliver on goals and achieve reach and engagement.2. Effective communication and working relationshipsExcellent communication, writing and editing skills appropriate to a professional communications team, with demonstrated experience in producing creative, informative and accurate social media copy.3. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlinesDemonstrated ability to work across multiple projects concurrently, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.4. Achieves results, influences and develops strong working relationshipsWorks collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful campaigns and outcomes.5. Adaptability and digital innovationDemonstrated experience in using initiative and creativity to achieve organisational strategic goals, by leveraging social media algorithms and tools.6.
