General Summary: Your new role as Social Media Manager will be to lead and drive the D2C social strategy (and its platforms) for the launch and beyond of the new streaming service Max.
You will be responsible for overseeing the social media interactions with our viewers by implementing social content strategies, analyzing engagement data, identifying trends in customer interactions and planning digital campaigns to build community online and deliver maximum awareness of our brand and content pillars.
This role will report to the Senior Manager of Brand & Content D2C Marketing for the Streaming & Networks division of WBD ANZ.
The Job: Reporting to the Senior Manager, Brand and Content Marketing ANZ, this role will lead all MAX brand and content social marketing strategy and implementation across Australia & New Zealand networks social media marketing.
The Daily: Devise the annual social strategy for the Max streaming platform.
Manage, allocate and make recommendations on social budget to drive desired outcomes and audiences.
Work with in-house and external agency partners to build social promotions for priority titles from greenlight to launch and beyond.
Collaborate with international and territory marketing and publicity teams to support key comms beats and align on broader strategies that span across regions.
Develop and maintain a social content calendar and communicate plans with key stakeholders across production, content, marketing, PR, franchise and consumer products.
Manage a team comprised of a Social Content Producer and a Junior Content Producer / Community Manager.
Originate and develop the creation of social creative assets alongside the Content Producers.
Responsible for the review and approval of all social assets including video, photos, post copy, etc.
for accuracy, grammar, tone, etc.
Pitch innovative ideas for expanding social promotions across new and emerging platforms.
Timely delivery of post campaign analysis to key stakeholders, including results, key learnings and recommendations.
Monitor industry trends and report on best practices.
The Essentials: 5+ years' experience in social media marketing, ideally within an entertainment, D2C or consumer marketing company.
You have a deep knowledge of social media platforms and the unique differences between each.
You are familiar with the Australian social media landscape, with Australian audience behaviors and know what makes for a successful content strategy.
You have a track record of strategizing and executing buzz-worthy social campaigns that drive awareness and engagement, as well as measuring performance and reporting results.
You are someone dedicated to analyzing growth through metrics but also able to think creatively.
You are an internet native who has a pulse on digital trends and emerging platforms.
You have a deep familiarity with internet trends, lingo and nuances of communicating online.
Experience using social media publishing and reporting tools (Sprout) and project management tools (Asana).
Experienced in project management, able to manage multiple projects at a fast pace and high volume.
Proficient with photo and video software editing tools including but not limited to Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, FinalCut Pro, Canva.
Impeccable communication skills with keen attention to detail.
Outstanding presentation skills, savvy in building presentation decks and visualizing proposals.
Excellent interpersonal skills; dynamic personality, adaptable, a high-degree of professionalism.
A team player able to work with colleagues across multiple locations & timezones.
Able to work readily and easily with many different personalities in a highly matrixed and international structure.
Ability to thrive in an ever-changing digital environment, comfortable working well under pressure and has the flexibility to adapt quickly.
A genuine, enthusiastic and passionate fan of entertainment, pop culture, new trends with excitement for WBD content and product.
