About the RoleThis exciting, full-time Social Media Manager opportunity allows you to own all organic social accounts for both professionals and consumers, while being supported by a dynamic and fun Marketing team.
We are seeking a strategic thinker with a sound understanding of social media's role in increasing brand awareness, engaging audiences, and achieving marketing goals.
Someone with experience in building, developing, and growing social communities and can effectively respond to and manage these communities with an appropriate tone and aesthetic for different brands.
A creative with a keen eye for detail and at the forefront of social trends, they can effectively concept and create engaging, on-brand assets to publish across all key platforms.
Copywriting skills are also essential, as is the ability to work on multiple projects and brands at any one time.
The Social Media Manager is a highly motivated and organised individual responsible for leading the social media team.
They demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to manage various internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills.
They are responsible for developing the social media strategy (in collaboration with the Head of Marketing) for all channels to deliver agreed KPIs.
They lead a team of social media coordinators to deliver content and manage these channels/communities.
The Social Media Manager also drives education, innovation, and ideation across content and social media as a marketing channel and will be at the forefront of social media and digital trends and best practices.
Professional brands this role will oversee include Haircare Group, Moroccanoil, Lakme, OLAPLEX, and other brands as required.
Social channels include Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Developing social strategies for each of the accounts, leading best practice, innovation, and content to meet brand objectives.Collaborating with the wider digital, marketing, and sales teams to ensure social activity is in line with the broader business and brand strategies.Aligning activity across the business, for example, sales, marketing, education, and digital to ensure we have integrated messaging across all channels.Leading and managing social team members as their direct report, overseeing the team's needs and ensuring work is to a high standard.Ensuring the social team is actively managing and engaging with social communities to the highest standard, driving engagement rates and growth of the accounts.Working closely with the Digital Lead on paid social strategy for all brands and curating content and copy for paid activity.Managing the team to execute all content, including but not limited to: planning, copywriting, curation, scheduling, and posting of 'always on' content across all social media channels and ensuring all content is on strategy and on brand.Developing content for all HCG and managed brand paid social activity in collaboration with the social team and Head of Marketing.Driving the ideation and planning of bespoke content creation to support each brand.Driving innovation and actively sharing ideas for content creation to support brand campaigns across our social channels.Being accountable for the team to deliver social-first content shoots, developing detailed briefs for any 3rd party videographers or photographers if required and ensuring the successful education.
Overseeing and/or executing the content capture and video editing based on content plans to support the brands.Driving the strategy and delivery of ambassador and influencer engagement initiatives; working closely with the Social Media Coordinators and Brand Managers to identify new potential ambassadors, collaborations, or opportunities and ensure successful collaboration.Working closely with PR agencies and assisting the Brand Manager with execution of marketing and communications campaigns and initiatives.Social Education, Networking and Event CoverageAs a subject matter expert, delivering social education and audits for internal and external stakeholders.Overseeing and/or undertaking live content capture at events such as awards, education courses, and corporate activities.Reporting & AnalysisMaintaining ongoing reporting and dashboards for social media performance and being able to produce ad-hoc reports as required.Driving continuous improvement through insights and innovation.Managing respective budgets including reconciliations and support (PO creation and invoice reconciliations).Monitoring social media and digital trends for continued improved performance.Executing and reporting on social media activation strategies with brand ambassadors, influencers, and creators.Any other administrative or support tasks as required by the Head of Marketing.Benefits and Culture:In exchange for your expertise and contribution, we offer the opportunity to play an exciting role in this South Australian born entrepreneurial company.
