You're welcome in the office every day, but you have the option to work from home one day a week.About the roleAs a Social Media Content Producer, you'll work be part of Are Media's social content creation team within the Homes vertical, and will be charged with creating and posting content in line with best practice and as advised by social strategy to grow engagement and audiences across Australian House and Gardens', Country Style's and Belle's social media platforms.You will be expected to have a strong working knowledge of how the social media platforms operate and how best to create content that drives up our audiences (and indirectly our revenue). You will be an emerging expert in knowing the best ways to create publish-ready social media content in the form of short-form video, engaging carousels and powerful posts.Your daily operations will include ideating, creating and delivering innovative and engaging content to tight deadlines. Reporting to the Digital Editor, you will work closely with the Social Centre of Excellence on the implementation of strategy and best practice, and also collaborate closely with the Homes to Love Social Content Producer, Digital Brand Champions and the Magazine Teams to ensure your content is on brand for the audiences. You will implement according to the social media content schedule/calendar across social platforms, primarily Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook.You will use analytic tools and available audience data to help inform your content creation calendar as well as understand your audience. A key part of this role's success is being a respectful and collaborative team player, taking feedback, direction and advice from your team and stakeholders, and supporting the overall objectives to grow community, audience and engagement across Are Media brands.DutiesDay-to-day, you will:Create searchable, creative and saveable content on PinterestSharing content on the brand's social platforms, including Instagram stories and ReelsStay ahead of social trends and informed of competitor strategiesPitch on-brand and innovative ideas (videos, EDMs, series, clusters) to drive audience, with possible commercial potentialUnderstand and execute the social strategy to grow audience and traffic across the sitesCheck back on results with an analytic eye and adjust strategy where neededKeep the Digital Editor and team informed of social performance results, so they can, in turn, adapt content strategySkills and experienceProven experience in a fast-paced digital environmentStrong written communication skillsA deep understanding (professional and/or personal) of creating content including short-form video and engaging content for Instagram Reels, stories and grid, Pinterest and TikTokA passion for social media and the appetite for creating best-in-class visualsThe ability to adapt to a digital environment that changes day-to-dayGreat stakeholder management skillsExperience managing social media including reporting and third party scheduling programsExperience using Canva is ideal, and experience with editing programs such as CapCut is a bonusMeticulous time management and attention to detailAre Media is committed to a diverse, respectful, collaborative & inclusive workplace.
