The Position This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of an exciting team at Sydney Zoo in the role of our Social Media & Content Coordinator, utilising your skills in an area that you are genuinely passionate about. This role will commence as soon as possible.
The Social Media and Content Coordinator will be responsible for the community management of social media channels, and the creation of content in various forms which support the overall marketing strategy of Sydney Zoo. This is a specialist marketing role with a focus on the implementation of social media strategies to grow and engage our online communities along with the creation and curation of content across various platforms. The Social Media and Content Coordinator will be responsible for staying up-to-date with industry trends, tools and best practices to keep our online presence innovative and effective.
The main components of the role are: Contribute to the development, implementation and execution of the organic social media strategy. Manage all aspects of the Sydney Zoo social community including community growth, customer service and influencer marketing. Strong proficiencies in video and image editing tools as well as written content, responsible for delivering all organic social content. Develop and manage content calendar, creative assets, performance, reporting and optimisation. Skills, Knowledge, and Relevant Experience Essential Tertiary qualifications in marketing or equivalent industry experience. 3 years relevant experience in an equivalent marketing related role. Previous experience and commercial achievement as a Social Media and Content Coordinator or similar, within a marketing and communications department in a competitive environment. Demonstrated experience managing organic social campaigns from end-to-end including scoping, briefing, execution, optimisation and post analysis and evaluation. Proven experience with video and image editing tools. Demonstrated experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Google Analytics. Proven experience working collaboratively to achieve commercial outcomes. Highly developed interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, including negotiation skills. Excellent writing skills. Demonstrated judgement and problem-solving skills in a pressured environment, combined with strong ability to prioritise competing tasks. Why should you join the Zoo Crew?
