It is a whole of life view and includes the cyclical concept of life-death-life'.We place a strong focus on a culturally responsive trauma informed care approach to the delivery of services and a collaborative working culture to achieve the best possible outcomes.Our Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) programs are incorporated into the work of the SEWB team and includes support for services focused on culturally responsive trauma informed practice, suicide prevention and post-vention, workforce development, research and policy.We are looking for a full-time Social & Emotional Wellbeing Manager based in Darwin, NT. Although the role is based in Darwin, regular visits to Brisbane or Melbourne could be required.Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, this role provides leadership, management, and strategic direction for the Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) unit, ensuring the successful delivery of programs and services within the parameters of grant funding and organisational policies.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Overseeing the planning, design, implementation, and monitoring of SEWB programs and servicesCollaborating with finance, corporate, and human resources to manage program budgets, funding guidelines, and staffingDeveloping and communicating clear guidelines and performance standards for staffLeading and managing the performance of SEWB staff, including recruitment and onboardingBuilding and maintaining relationships with fellow staff, external partners, and stakeholdersPreparing high-level submissions, reports, and documents that support SEWB-related objectivesIdentifying and mitigating potential risks related to SEWB programs and servicesContributing to strategic planning, organisational policies, and WH&S practices as a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT)Promoting culturally responsive and safe SEWB frameworks within the sectorWhat We Need From YouTo qualify, you will need at least 5 years leadership and management experience within a trauma informed health services background. A management or project management qualification will also be considered essential. Any prior experience within an Aboriginal community-controlled health setting will be held in high regard.Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:Knowledge of culturally responsive trauma-informed care practiceStrong communication skills, strategic and analytical thinkingAbility to develop and maintain productive and collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholdersExperience in data analysis and interpretation with an emphasis on accuracy and integrityAs our ideal candidate, you will possess the following attributes: exceptional time management, attention to detail, personal motivation, initiative, and enthusiasm.
