About us The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. About the role The SOAR Integration Manager leads the SOAR Team. This team is integral in providing cyber services and products that mitigate Whole of Victorian Government (WoVG) cyber risk. This role is required to provide highly technical expertise in leading the SOAR team. The SOAR platform is a key technological pillar for the Cyber Operations branch and this role is responsible for ensuring the platform's operational resilience, assuring it is at the forefront of cyber risk mitigations for the WoVG. A detailed understanding and experience of a SOAR platform, notably Palo Alto's Cortex XSOAR, is critical to this role. Exceptional project, people, and stakeholder management skills with a strong understanding of cyber security practices are necessary to succeed in this role.
Key Accountabilities include: Lead the SOAR team. Implement effective maintenance of the SOAR platform, including integrations and vendor management. Provide strategic and technical direction regarding the deployment and upgrading of the SOAR platform.Develop a robust software development timeline with appropriate metrics of success.Establish a systemic method for transitioning newly developed SOAR capability upgrades into BAU services.Work with multiple stakeholders and technical team members across the division in providing complex technical advice in a consumable format or method.About you To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
Demonstrated significant experience in leading the development and maintenance of a SOAR platform, specifically Palo Alto's Cortex XSOAR.Demonstrated exceptional cybersecurity skills on best practices, system and network architecture, integration, secure coding, and cloud security.Demonstrated experience leading small software development teams.Demonstrated experience with the Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) and Office 365 suite.Demonstrated strong cybersecurity operational support skills.Demonstrated experience and skills in technological requirements elicitation and defining these into development processes.Proven capability in creating influential documents of technical and non-technical information for non-technical audiences showcasing your high written and communication skills with strong attention to detail.Mandatory requirements Ability to obtain and maintain a NEGATIVE VETTING 1 security clearance.For specific responsibilities please review the attached position description.
