Where you'll be working: YASS Yass District Hospital provides 24-hour accident and emergency and is a 12-bed hospital with 4 emergency beds and a medical imaging department. The newly developed Yass Hospital has a new emergency department, palliative care room, community health consultation rooms, and physiotherapy room.
Yass is a town in the Southern Tablelands of NSW, situated in the beautiful Yass Valley - a thriving rural region with a great sense of community, spectacular natural scenery, and a laid-back country lifestyle. Yass is a 3-hour drive from Sydney and less than 1 hour from Canberra. You can take a train from Sydney to Yass Junction, which takes around 3 hours and 40 minutes.
Adventurers will find activities galore in the Yass Valley. Head to Wee Jasper Reserves for tranquil fishing and bushwalking. Follow the expedition of explorers Hume and Hovell on the Hume and Hovell Track which starts at Cooma Cottage and covers 440kms to Albury. The heart of the acclaimed Canberra District Wine Region, the Yass Valley has great food and wine experiences. Enjoy cool climate wine tasting at the cellar doors of iconic wineries, settle into cosy country wine bars, and browse gourmet food shops and farmer's markets.
What you'll be doing:
Provide contemporary comprehensive specialist services for optimal patient outcomes. Provide and support training to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.
Selection Criteria: Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Practitioner or training towards.Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine.Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement.Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to all aspects of clinical governance.Demonstrated ability to consistently display a commitment to, and compliance with, and leadership in high-quality Customer Service, Workplace Diversity, Occupational Health & Safety, and Industrial Democracy principles, practices, and relevant legislation relating to these areas and an understanding of and commitment to the organisation's values.Demonstrated commitment to participation in on-call rosters and providing timely on-site responses.Occupational Assessment, Screening, and Vaccination against Specific Diseases

Applicants must have completed the COVID-19 vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
