About the Roles

These two roles fall within the Renewables Regulatory Practice Section. These roles may relate to sub-teams in the Section: Energy Policy, Onshore Renewables, Offshore Renewables and Governance. Regardless of the sub-team, you will be required to exercise your judgement to prioritise tasks, scan for and flag risks as the emerge and track the progress of high priority deliverables in collaboration with your team members.
APS6 Senior Program Support Officer Support the delivery of the Renewable Energy Research Initiative (RERI) by advising and supporting the procurement and management of contracts for RERI projects in accordance with approved project documents, including (but not limited to) Project Plan, Procurement Plan and Probity Plan and other legislative requirements such as the PGPA Act.Lead opportunities for collaboration with research partners including universities and researchers, industry, and other government entities to support the delivery of the RERI.Support the establishment of a centralised database, for example through Environment Information Australia (EIA), to allow the capture and analysis of baseline and monitoring data for renewable energy projects.Develop high quality briefs, reports and other reporting material.Support the delivery of policy advice on onshore and/or offshore renewables.Provide advice on complex project management, procurement and contracting matters.Support regulatory processes related to the EPBC Act.Support administrative functions such as recruitment and strategic planning.EL1 Assistant Director Provide leadership, support and guidance to team members to create a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, personal accountability, continuous improvement, and ensure team members deliver departmental requirements.Manage workloads across the team, ensure team member has access to appropriate work tasks and the opportunity to undertake tasks which support professional development.Identify emerging issues within the team and recommend solutions to resolve problems, mitigate risks and leverage improvement opportunities.Manage for high performance via establishing and maintaining meaningful performance agreements; providing timely feedback; instilling a sense of meaning into the work that we do; and identifying and delivering upon development opportunities.Foster a welcoming, flexible, and adaptive work culture to enable team members successfully balance life and work obligations.Provide support to the Director and colleagues to support the successful running of the Section.For a detailed position description, please contact [email protected] How to Apply Click APPLY or contact Marisa Conlon, Senior Consultant, Talent Acquisition at [email protected] for further information on the role.
