Contracts Administrator: you will deliver a high-calibre service that ensures the projects not only meet but exceed expectations.
The Company MPL Group is partnering with a leading construction company specializing in Design-Build projects across Australia. They are looking to hire Contracts Administrators to support their team in delivering projects valued between ~$50M - $100M plus. The role requires ensuring that projects meet and exceed expectations. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Managing all aspects of the subcontract and head contract processes Negotiating and reviewing subcontract and head contract tenders, including preparing tender comparisons for review Preparing, checking, and reviewing subcontract packages, scopes, lettings, and procurement schedules Monitoring subcontractors to ensure they adhere to environmental commitments and responsibilities Creating accurate payment schedules Understanding and managing subcontractor contractual risk Processing progress claims, delay claims, and external variations according to contractual obligations Preparing project budgets for review and providing accurate rolling final account forecasts Assisting in the preparation and administration of project completion and inspection test plans Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Engineering or Quantity Surveying are essential. Candidates should demonstrate proven experience in relevant projects within the mixed-use - commercial, retail and residential sectors, particularly those exceeding ~$50M plus. Local expertise in subcontract tendering, standards, and procedures is required, along with strong negotiation skills. A solid grasp of construction programs and plans, and the ability to identify key obligations. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and rapport-building skills at all levels.
