Smp Workpack Engineer

About the role
UGL are currently seeking suitably qualified SMP Workpack Developer to oversee the structural, mechanical, and piping aspects of a brownfields construction project in Darwin, Northern Territory. The role will commence on site in January 2025. Initially this role will be a Perth CBD role (Monday-Friday) and will transition into a 2/2 FIFO role.
Key Responsibilities

Development of Workpacks: Create detailed workpacks for SMP activities, ensuring all necessary information is included for efficient project execution.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather necessary information and ensure workpacks are accurate and comprehensive.
Scheduling and Planning: Develop and maintain detailed schedules and plans for all SMP activities, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines.
Quality Control: Ensure all workpacks meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Problem Solving: Identify potential issues and provide practical solutions to ensure project progress remains on track.

About you

Proven experience as a Workpack Developer in SMP disciplines, preferably in brownfields or similar construction projects.
Strong understanding of construction processes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools for workpack development and project management.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.
