Job Description - SMP Supervisor (261851) About the role UGL are currently seeking a suitably qualified SMP Supervisor to oversee the structural, mechanical, and piping aspects of a brownfields construction project in Darwin, Northern Territory. The role will commence on site in November 2024 working a 2/2 roster. Point of hire can either be Darwin, NT or Perth, WA. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of the project, meeting quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. Key responsibility areas: Supervise and Lead: Directly manage and lead a team of SMP tradespeople to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration in executing project tasks. Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring that all SMP activities adhere to industry safety standards and company policies. Quality Assurance: Monitor and inspect SMP installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and client expectations. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for SMP activities, coordinating with other disciplines to optimize project timelines. Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, equipment, and materials to meet project requirements and deadlines. Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of SMP activities, including daily reports, progress reports, and any required project documentation. About You Ideally you will have: Minimum of 5 years of experience in SMP supervision on brownfields construction projects. Relevant certifications or qualifications in SMP-related disciplines. Proficient knowledge of structural, mechanical, and piping systems. Strong leadership and ability to conduct pre-starts, toolboxes, and multi-disciplinary interactions. Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices. Proven track record of successfully managing SMP teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
