Competitive Pay: Attractive salary with overtime opportunities and additional site allowances.Career Development: Opportunities for training, mentorship, and growth within a dynamic organization.Exciting Projects: Contribute to a landmark multi-year Blast Furnace Reline project in Port Kembla.Job Security: Long-term, permanent role in a thriving industry.Supportive Environment: Work in a safety-focused, inclusive, and innovative workplace.Responsibilities: Site Supervision & Coordination: Oversee daily SMP (structural, mechanical, and piping) activities to ensure efficient and timely project execution.Supervise and coordinate site crews, subcontractors, and in-house teams.Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.Safety & Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture, conducting daily briefings and hazard assessments.Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and use PPE.Report and assist with incident investigations as needed.Quality Control: Inspect and ensure work meets project specifications and high-quality standards.Identify and address defects or quality issues promptly.Resource Management: Allocate and manage labor, materials, and equipment for optimal project flow.Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of resources.Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate site logs, progress reports, and safety documentation.Prepare handover materials, including as-built drawings and test reports.Subcontractor Management: Liaise with subcontractors to ensure adherence to timelines, quality, and safety standards.Provide technical support to resolve on-site issues.Problem-Solving & Decision Making: Address on-site challenges, including design deviations and unforeseen conditions.Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop effective solutions.Requirements: Qualifications: Trade certification in Boilermaking or related field.Experience: At least 5 years of supervisory experience in SMP projects within construction, mining, oil & gas, or heavy industry.Technical Knowledge:Proficient in SMP methodologies, engineering drawings, and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ASTM).Strong understanding of quality assurance and safety protocols.Skills:Leadership and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and teams.Effective communication and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.Who we are: As one of Australia's largest employers, we work with great companies all around Australia and New Zealand to give you the best opportunities to work when and where you want to.
