We are seeking a dynamic and experienced senior electrician with marine experience to support our dynamic Gladstone operations.
You are a dedicated, technically skilled professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is capable of managing complex electrical systems. Reporting to the General Manager in Gladstone, this full-time position is responsible for the running maintenance and repairs of the electrical, electronic and control systems. Working closely with the shore-based Maintenance team, Technical Superintendent and crew to ensure the planned maintenance system is maintained in a safe, efficient and cost-effective way.
You will need:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field STCW Electro-Technical Officer certification or equivalent marine electrical qualifications Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a marine electrician, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role Advanced knowledge of marine electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control systems Proven expertise in electrical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of shipboard systems Strong understanding of maritime regulations and safety standards Excellent leadership and team management skills Outstanding problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and software Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities Willingness to travel and work offshore for extended periods if required Your application will include the following questions:
