As a Smart Cities Pilot and Trial Specialist, you can do exactly that.
You are attuned to the latest advancements in the smart city world, constantly pushing the boundaries of how we can tackle city challenges and presenting innovative ideas.
You will ideate, test and pilot new and emerging technologies to understand their potential impact on the city.
Your day to day will involve: Leading the strategic delivery of emerging technology pilots and innovation projects.Building and managing relationships and partnerships with knowledge/tech sector, startup and corporate partners.Researching smart city and key technology trends to provide specialist support to the organisation.Fostering collaboration and knowledge transfer across City of Melbourne, government, and community stakeholders.Exercising your data storytelling skills to sell new ideas to your stakeholders and take them along the journey.What you will bring (Selection Criteria): Deep knowledge and proven expertise in at least 2 of the following areas: emerging technologies, IoT, GIS, urban planning, design, strategic/systems design, human centred design, community engagement, communications and storytelling.Demonstrated understanding of key urban technology architecture components including connectivity, security, sensors and IoT.Strong communication skills including presentation and negotiation skills and the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.Tertiary qualification and/or experience in design thinking and innovation, service design, project management, social sciences, engineering, digital inclusion, or smart cities technologies.Quantitative and qualitative data analysis and interpretation experience including experience with the team tooling and techniques (e.g.
