now looking for an experienced Small Engine Mechanic to join their team.
The right candidate will be responsible for: Inspect and diagnose issues with small engines of forklifts to determine necessary repairs; Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups, to ensure the equipment runs efficiently; Replace worn or damaged parts, such as spark plugs, belts, and bearings, using appropriate tools and techniques; Test engines after repairs or maintenance to ensure they are operating correctly and meet performance standards; Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used for each piece of equipment; Communicate with clients and supervisors regarding the status of repairs and maintenance, providing estimates and timelines; Operate specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot engine problems effectively; Follow all workplace safety protocols, including the safe handling of fuels, lubricants, and chemicals; Stay updated on the latest techniques and tools for small engine maintenance and repair through ongoing training; Ensure the workshop remains organized, clean, and stocked with essential parts and tools; About you: At least 1 year of experience as a Small Engine Mechanic; Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components, with the ability to disassemble, repair, and reassemble engines; Ability to identify mechanical issues through troubleshooting, interpreting diagnostic data, and applying practical solutions; Precision in conducting repairs and maintenance, ensuring that each task is completed thoroughly to avoid future problems; Skilled in using hand and power tools, as well as fine motor skills, to handle small parts and perform repairs accurately; Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy components; Job type: Permanent/full-time Salary: $73,000 - $83,000
