We are looking for an analyst to provide stock coverage in the small cap space within the Australian listed market. The analyst will provide stock recommendations based on thorough analysis, financial models and company/industry insights. The analyst must be able to present & market effectively, externally to fund managers and clients and, internally to institutional sales and sales traders.
KEY ACTIVITIESProvide proactive and differentiated research on the small cap sectorDevelop financial models & valuation databases for all stocks under primary coverageRespond to market news, earnings releases, corporate developments and other market-moving information when necessary and in a proactive mannerDevelop and maintain key client relationshipsActively engage with clients and the relevant sales team members to communicate ideas to ensure maximum exposure/return from the time invested in producing research reportsMaintain sound working relationships with corporates, clients and government/industry organisationsTEAMWORKAnalysts should view their role as an integral part of the team's success. Effective teamwork contribution; actively generate ideas for the team's development; communicate issues that require action; support each other and ask for help when needed.
KEY COMPETENCIES/SKILLS/EXPERIENCEBachelor degree or above in business related discipline, preferably with finance and/or accounting major3-10 years' experience as a research associate/analyst.
