The successful candidate will be responsible for full relationship management, including business development activities and portfolio management. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in small business lending or accounting, portfolio management, and business development activity.
As a Small Business Banker, you will be managing an existing high-performing portfolio of Small Business Customers. You will be responsible for nurturing these relationships, understanding each customer's unique needs, and delivering innovative solutions to ensure their success. Your role will also involve collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, coaching branch teams, and driving business development initiatives. With your proactive approach, you will increase the profile of Small Business within the community, deepen existing relationships, and attract new customers.
Key responsibilities: Retain and grow a portfolio of existing small business customers while acquiring new business through external relationships, including referral partnersManage small business lending requests up to $1.5m, and residential lending up to $5mEngage in personal and meaningful conversations with small business customers and referral partners to build relationshipsCreate strong partnerships with branch colleagues, the wider group, external referral networks, and brokersKey experience: Proven experience in Business and/or Retail/Lending banking/ accountingExcellent understanding of the SME MarketStrong ability to build and develop relationships with customersExcellent time management and organisation skillsAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
