An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven experienced Environmental Consultant to join our expanding Asset Transformation & Closure team.
Our specialists are predominantly located in our beautiful Mackay office, however with a national team and a focus on cross collaboration, we will also consider applicants from Townsville, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Wollongong, and Perth.
Articulate, motivated and reliable, you will have 6 - 10 years' experience in Environmental Consulting.
You will enjoy taking on exciting projects whilst learning from an experienced team and developing client relationships throughout the region.
You will also collaborate on exciting projects and initiatives with the national team and other 23 teams within our multi-disciplinary business.
Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include:
Developing, facilitating, and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and internal SLR team members.
Mine Closure Plans / Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plans.
Mining Proposals / Environmental Authorities.
Providing advice regarding environmental impact assessment and management principles to clients and internal SLR team members.
Working within and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across a range of sectors.
Delivering clear and precise, high quality reports.
Occasional travel to undertake field studies.
Experience To be successful in this role, you will be a positive and engaging character with a great sense of humour as well as have:
A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
6 years + experience in Environmental Science, preferably in consulting.
Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects.
Working knowledge of at least one Australian State's environmental legislation and policies, standards, and guidelines related to mine closure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia.
