Currently, we have a vacancy for a Production Operator/Slicer Operator in our baking production facility in Darwin.
The Operator is an integral member of the baking team.
The role will make a strong contribution to a high-performing production team and team culture within the Darwin site.
These positions are integral to the successful output of our daily fresh products to the community.
Reporting to a Team Manager, you will work as part of the operations team to ensure that our daily fresh bread products are produced and packaged in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner, ensuring quality and food safety standards are met.
You will need a willingness and an aptitude to learn and a history in manufacturing or machine line operations.
To ensure success in this role, you will have good communication skills and be committed to following processes and procedures.
Interacting with a variety of people will come naturally to you, and while you will actively contribute to the team, you will be disciplined enough to work autonomously.
The shift patterns available are: Monday 6:15am-4:15pm Tuesday 8:15am-6:15pm Friday 8:15am-6:15pm Saturday 9:15am-7:15pm Key accountabilities of the role include: Operation of machinery and equipment on the processing linesAdhering to the company's Health and Safety/Food Safety (HACCP) policy and proceduresPerforming effective online quality checks, product evaluation, and monitoringMaintaining a clean and safe work areaAbout You 2+ years of experience in Food Manufacturing or FMCG environment (desirable)Experience in Food handling/Food processing industryAbility to follow standard operating procedures and work autonomouslyEffective oral and written communicationA focus on safe working practicesWillingness and aptitude to learnThis sounds like the role for your next career step.
