Position Overview
We are seeking proactive Litigation Lawyers with 1–3 years of post-admission experience (PAE) to join our reputable Litigation & Dispute Resolution Team. This is a dynamic opportunity to work on a diverse range of litigation matters with a strong focus on advocacy, client engagement, and career growth.
You will play a key role in representing Government and private clients in a wide variety of litigation and dispute resolution matters, providing high-quality legal advice, and managing cases from initial instructions to resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Represent Government and private clients in litigation and dispute resolution matters.
Conduct appearances in various Courts and Tribunals, including the Local Court, Supreme Court, Federal Court, Federal Circuit and Family Court, and Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
Manage cases from start to resolution, including drafting pleadings, affidavits, and submissions.
Provide sound and timely legal advice to clients.
Undertake advocacy work in interlocutory applications, hearings, and mediations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, barristers, and other stakeholders.
Manage a high-volume caseload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate a customer-focused approach, with a commitment to resolving client issues promptly.
Collaborate effectively within a team environment to achieve shared goals.
Travel interstate for court appearances and client meetings, as required.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
1–3 years PAE
in Litigation, Dispute Resolution, or a related field.
Experience in
Migration Law, Administrative Law, Public Law,
or Government Litigation is highly desirable.
Proven advocacy skills, with experience appearing in Courts and Tribunals.
Strong technical skills in legal research, drafting, and document preparation.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills and self-confidence to manage client relationships and stakeholder engagements.
Customer-focused with a commitment to timely resolution of issues.
Willingness to travel intra/interstate for court appearances, as required.
