Cardio Respiratory Sleep is part of the Clinical Integration Solutions Group; a well-established and growing integrated medical specialist group providing cardiac and vascular diagnostic imaging and clinical services (Cardio Vascular Services) together with sleep and respiratory services (Cardio Respiratory Sleep). We have 7 clinics in the Perth Region and 2 clinics in Melbourne. In addition to our outpatient clinics, CRS runs three Sleep Laboratories in metropolitan Perth and a fourth sleep laboratory in Bunbury at St John of God Private Hospital.
We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join CRS as casual Sleep Scientists working from our inpatient Perth-based Sleep Laboratories , as well performing home-based sleep study set-ups from our outpatient clinics. This role requires our Scientists to:
Perform set up for in-lab sleep study patients including the application of electrodes and sensors to the patient. Set up patients for home-based sleep studies in our outpatient clinics. Interact with patients to explain testing and treatment procedures and ensure all relevant patient data is recorded accurately and comprehensively. Overnight monitoring of signals and ensuring the well-being of the patients. Scoring and analysis of polysomnographs, helping prepare provisional reports for our sleep physicians. For those with more experience, provide training and support for our other sleep technologists. Previous experience as a Sleep Scientist or Sleep Technologist is highly regarded but not required as paid, in-house training will be provided ; however, a willingness to learn and a commitment to providing excellent patient care is paramount to being successful in this position. A degree in health sciences (or related) is required for this role.
Our sleep labs operate seven nights a week; with outpatient evening shifts Monday to Friday creating significant flexibility and availability of shifts for the successful candidate(s).
