Scope Healthcare is an innovative and growing healthcare practice specializing in non-invasive cardiac services, respiratory care, and sleep diagnostics.
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Sleep and Respiratory Scientist to join our team of Sleep & Respiratory Technologists.
About the role We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Sleep & Respiratory Scientist to lead our team of Sleep & Respiratory Technologists.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high quality lung function tests and sleep studies.
This role is crucial for diagnosing and managing Respiratory and Sleep conditions, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Your Duties & Responsibilities Perform high quality Lung Function Tests for patients with suspected respiratory conditions.Interpret test results and provide accurate feedback to physicians.Educate patients on the procedures and answer any questions they may have.Prepare patients for sleep studies by connecting them to the necessary monitoring equipment.Perform sleep study analysis/scoring and preparation of reports.Ensure accurate setup and calibration of sleep study devices.Communicate effectively with patients, explaining the procedures and alleviating any concerns.Maintain a compassionate and supportive environment for patients undergoing testing.Document test results accurately and in a timely manner.Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate findings into patient care plans.Ensure the team adheres to all safety and quality protocols and that all relevant equipment is properly calibrated and prepared.Participate in ongoing training and professional development of the team.Qualifications & experience Must have full working rights in Australia without any restrictions.Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Science, Biomedical Science, or a related field.Clinical experience in respiratory and sleep testing (including analysis/scoring) is essential.Requires skills in operating computer-based, specialised testing equipment and must be able to interact with and encourage patients to achieve maximal performance on tests.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.Excellent leadership qualities, with interpersonal and communication skills.Certifications: Registration and Certification as a Respiratory Scientist with (ANZSRS).Additional certifications in sleep medicine or pulmonary function testing will be highly regarded. #J-18808-Ljbffr
