TRS Resourcing has been asked to source and screen Truck Trailer Fitter/Skilled TA for Installing of trailer electrics, Hydraulic and Pneumatics.
New Build Fuel Trailer Assembly Fitter (Skilled Trades Assistant)Our client's workshop is in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne, a leading Australian Truck trailer manufacturer.
They have requirements for a Skilled TA who can carry out a wide range of appropriate truck trailer work from Electrical equipment to Hydraulic and Pneumatic braking systems.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the successful Trades Assistant / Light Vehicle Mechanic will work on a range of different areas of the trailer build that will include:
Auto Electrics:Installing electrical harnesses, lights, plugs and sockets to newly built semi-trailers.Fitting new Hydraulic and Pneumatic trailer braking systems.Fitting light electrics components to newly built bodies.Help with diagnosis, fault finding and repairing electrical problems to semi-trailers.It is beneficial that the successful candidate has the following:
Relevant background with the Auto or Light Vehicle Mechanic.Sound knowledge of heavy vehicles and plant equipment.Understanding of basic hydraulics & pneumatic brake kits (Ideally).Basic knowledge of automotive electrical systems.Ability to learn correct procedures & processes.Good working knowledge of OS&H.Hold a mechanical aptitude.To be considered for this position, you must be able to provide the following:
