We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Horticultural Worker to join our team and contribute to our year-round production.
This position involves various tasks related to the propagation, cultivation, harvest, and processing of crops in a production horticulture environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare growing media and suitable trays, pots, and containers.
• Undertake propagation, planting, and pruning operations.
• Prepare and apply pesticide and weedicide to crops.
• Undertake irrigation, fertigation, and fumigation activities.
• Maintain soil, hydroponic, plant, treatment, and yield records.
• Undertake transport and logistics tasks for delivery of sales stock.
• Operate horticultural machinery and equipment to clear and cultivate land, sow and harvest crops, process, and pack crops.
• Ensure relevant equipment and machinery are maintained.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
• Proven experience in horticultural production, preferably in crop cultivation.
• Strong knowledge of propagation, pest management, and irrigation systems.
• Ability to operate and maintain horticultural machinery and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work in both indoor facilities and outdoor farm settings.
