About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Horticultural Worker to join our team and contribute to our year-round production. This position involves various tasks related to the propagation, cultivation, harvest, and processing of crops in a production horticulture environment.
Key Responsibilities Prepare growing media and suitable trays, pots, and containersUndertake propagation, planting, and pruning operationsPrepare and apply pesticide and weedicide to cropsUndertake irrigation, fertigation, and fumigation activitiesMaintain soil, hydroponic, plant, treatment, and yield recordsUndertake transport and logistics tasks for delivery of sales stockOperate horticultural machinery and equipment to clear and cultivate land, sow and harvest crops, process, and pack cropsEnsure relevant equipment and machinery are maintained Requirements Proven experience in horticultural production, preferably in crop cultivationStrong knowledge of propagation, pest management, and irrigation systemsAbility to operate and maintain horticultural machinery and equipmentExcellent attention to detail and record-keeping skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesWillingness to work in both indoor facilities and outdoor farm settings We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.
