We are looking to fill multiple Skilled Auto Electrician roles within our Dandenong facility. In this hands-on position, you will have a strong drive and motivation to succeed and be able to work in a safety conscious environment. Positions enjoy working a 9-day fortnight. Pay rate is market competitive and depends on experience and qualifications. This will be a permanent full-time opportunity and paid as per our Enterprise Agreement. SKILLS REQUIRED: Diagnose and repair electrical faults and computer-controlled systems used in automotive technology. Determine if a repair, upgrade, or new installation is required and carry out the process accordingly. Calibrate and test any electrical components and wiring following installation, repair, or upgrade. Service or replace defective electrical parts and wiring. Install/upgrade accessories. Test headlight strength and alignment. Safely use hand and electrical tools. Follow all relevant safety guidelines and procedures. Dismantling and removing electrical and electronic assemblies and components. Connecting power-operated vehicle equipment and accessories to power supply. Replacing defective parts such as fuses, lamps and switches. Fault finding using multimeter and schematics. Working with multiplex systems and programs. Installing and maintaining pneumatic/electrical systems. Qualifications in auto electrician is essential. Previous exposure and experience in a vehicle manufacturing environment will be highly regarded. This position also requires the applicant to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol analysis, musculoskeletal evaluation and hearing test Applicants must have the right to work and live in Australia.
