We're looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Systems Accountant to join a global leader in the construction and heavy machinery industry, based in Clayton.
Key Skills and Attributes: Technical Expertise in Financial Systems: Extensive experience with Unit4 Financial applications and DBSi or similar ERP systems. Proven ability to manage and resolve system-related issues, ensuring seamless operation of financial software. Expertise in system integration, data reconciliation, and troubleshooting finance system issues. Accounting and Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reconciliation, and reporting processes. Expertise in monthly reconciliations, including Service Work in Progress and other account-specific tasks. Hands-on experience supporting month-end and year-end activities. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong investigative abilities to identify and address inefficiencies in financial systems. Skilled in auditing financial systems and ensuring compliance with established controls. Proficient in creating meaningful financial reports using advanced reporting tools. Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborative approach to working with IS departments, external vendors (Accenture, Unit4, FDC), and internal teams to resolve escalated system issues. Project Management and Process Optimisation: Experience in system implementations and the successful rollout of new financial tools. Strong ability to streamline financial processes to enhance operational efficiency. Expertise in managing system parameter setups and documenting procedures based on evolving business needs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting , Finance , Information Systems , or related field. Proven experience with financial applications and ERP systems (Unit4, DBSi, or similar). Expertise in financial reporting , reconciliation processes, and accounting procedures. Hands-on experience with system implementation , user acceptance testing , and end-user training .
