We're aiming to become the most customer-centric company on Earth.We are looking for an enthusiastic WHS Manager to join our team at our Melbourne Fulfillment Centre.
You'll be passionate about partnering with site leaders and operations teams and driving our Amazon WHS culture and lead continuous improvement to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for our Associates.
You will demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the operations team and inspire change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.Demonstrating your strong communication skills, you will train Operations Leaders in Amazon WHS policies and assist the operations site teams in incorporating our safety standards in their day-to-day work.Key job responsibilitiesLead a site-based WHS team and create and execute leadership development plans for your team.Completion of risk assessments related to EHS hazards.Develop local site WHS procedures and processes to meet Amazon Global Standards.Analyze safety metrics and review and report on weekly and monthly incident trends.Measure sites' performance against published requirements in safety and health policies and identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies.Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations.Perform frequent site WHS audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes.Lead and mentor Safety Associates or H&S representatives in your assigned facility.Ensure contractor management safety processes are implemented.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience.Bachelor's degree.Experience leading multiple direct reports or multiple sites.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.Experience in a distribution center or manufacturing EHS with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
