The opportunity The SKA Observatory (SKAO) is a next-generation radio astronomy facility that will revolutionise our understanding of the Universe and the laws of fundamental physics. Enabled by cutting-edge technology, it promises to have a major impact on society, in science and beyond.
In Australia, the SKAO is collaborating with CSIRO to operate and support the construction of the low frequency telescope (SKA-Low) in remote Western Australia on Wajarri Yamaji Country.
The Site Travel Coordinator will be responsible for processing travel requests to the SKA-Low site at Inyarrimanha Ilgari Bundara, CSIRO's Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory in accordance with strict site access requirements.
Your duties will include: As per the SKA-Low site access process, receive and process site travel requests from staff, contractors and visitors in accordance with site access requirements including training, logistics and accommodation.Work closely with the SKA-Low logistics team to coordinate vehicle bookings and effectively manage charter flights.Work closely with staff, contractors and visitors to ensure the site access process is followed and provide assistance with site travel request documentation.Assist with other site travel arrangements (such as day trips to site) for small groups as required.Assist with the development and improvement of the site access process as the project progresses.Location: Geraldton, Western Australia
Salary: AU$70,874 - AU$90,202 plus 15.4% superannuation
