Reporting to the Superintendent Site Systems at BMA Hay Point, this role will see you provide support to the Site Leadership team in the development and maintenance of processes and procedures that make up the site Safety and Health Management System (SHMS), Risk Management Framework, and Site Training Scheme.
This role is open to locals within the Mackay region on a Monday to Friday days only roster.
Your Duties Will Include:Participating in the implementation of the BHP Operating System (BOS)Working collaboratively with other Site Systems team members to meet deadlinesReporting of Site Compliance with regards to legislation and organisational capabilityEnsure all training documentation is verified and compliant prior to uploading into the training management systemAssessment verification and data entry into training systemsWorking with stakeholders to maintain the site Safety and Health Management System (SHMS), Risk Management Framework, and Site Training SchemeBooking external training providersPurchasing (1SAP and C-RES)Continual improvement projects relevant to roleGenerate and distribute Site Reports as per routineLead and have involvement in internal and external auditsGeneral coordination/administrative tasks to assist the Compliance teamSupport the Site Systems & Training Specialist and Superintendent to drive compliance, training and reporting initiatives that positively influence the safety culture and performance of the siteAbout YouThe successful candidate will have:
Customer-focused attitude to ensure we are meeting the needs of our stakeholdersKnowledge and relevant experience in training within a Port and Rail environmentRelevant experience as an administrator, high levels of initiative, impeccable attention to detail, positive attitude, and excellent communication skillsFormal qualification in workplace training and assessment (e.g., TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment) or be working towards this qualificationStrong working knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Legislation & Rail Safety National LawAbility to understand legislative and procedural requirements and translate them into documented systems for practical applicationStrong communication, influencing and coaching skillsA proactive approach in identifying issues coupled with the confidence to generate and put forward creative solutionsStrong computer skills and a high level of attention to detailA personable and professional approach with people at all levels of an organisationStrong ability to organise and manage competing demands and prioritiesStrong problem-solving and time management skillsAbility to work and engage in a strong team environmentShow initiative and work with minimal direction, being resourceful and proactiveAbout Our ProcessAt BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
