About the role: We are currently seeking fulltime and casual Supervisors at Taylors Engineering & Welding Services to carry out the Supervision of design, construction and maintenance of equipment, plant, and machines. With a wide range of positions available, we would be looking for candidates who have experience with mine sites, maintenance, mechanical, and fitting backgrounds. A primary objective of the role would be to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all site tasks.
Key Responsibilities of this role include: Directly manage welding, fitting, and boilermaking teams to achieve all project requirements within the set standards. Establish a safety culture emphasizing hazard elimination and genuine care. Monitor and encourage adherence to PPE and safe work practices. Lead prestart meetings, share incident learnings, and uphold safety. Manage timesheets, training registers, and workforce competencies. Seek continuous improvement, develop new skills, and promote efficiency. Coordinate and delegate work to crews. Organise material, labour, and equipment to ensure efficiency. Implement and/or complete any corrective action that has been issued in a timely fashion. Comply with all safety, environment, and quality requirements and contribute to a safe work environment. Providing ongoing progress updates to the Management team. Essential Skills & Experience: Previous experience in a supervisor role (5 years+). High level of communication and interpersonal skills. Australian Recognised Trade certificate. Good attention to detail. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision. Class C driver's license. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
