Our opportunity As a Site Supervisor with Mirvac working on the Riverlands Project in Milperra, part of our Master Planned Community division, you will contribute to the Construction operations ensuring that 'The Mirvac Way's' core values and vision are preserved whilst promoting a strong professional image of the Construction Division.
Your responsibilities will include: Follow directions and guidance from the Site Manager where applicable.Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to site supervisors.Co-ordinate and supervise all trades associated with your area of control.Be responsible for the planning and implementing of procedures for materials handling.Order and schedule materials as required.Adhere to Mirvac Construction's Standard Details and procedures.Assist in the preparation of programs and ensure that works are in keeping with the overall program.Set a personal example in accident-free working and create an interest in accident prevention in all site personnel.Adopt a very firm attitude to HSE discipline.Attend weekly safety inspections with the Site Safety Committee when directed by the Site Manager.Thoroughly brief your team on the proper and correct way of doing their job and ensure they receive any necessary training.Implement the procedures established in this plan in the event of injury, damage, accident, or near miss.Ensure that the Mirvac workforce under your responsibility are provided with the correct tools and clothing and that these are used properly and maintained correctly.Ensure that the Mirvac workforce under your responsibility are provided with any necessary protective clothing and equipment.Contribute to a tidy and orderly work site and ensure that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times.Discourage any horseplay and act promptly and firmly to prevent any person behaving in ways that may lead to an accident.Ensure all accidents resulting in damage to Plant, Equipment, Vehicles, Materials, or Structures are reported.Have read and accepted HSE responsibilities as contained in the Safety Procedures Manual.Your point of difference 3-5 years+ Supervisory experience within residential and home building.Experience in working in a collaborative delivery team.Experience with safety requirements and supporting crews with health and safety processes.Excellent communication skills.Good knowledge of structures.Strong attention to detail.Able to identify problems early and find solutions.Be assertive and proactive to resolve problems efficiently.All of these attributes are preferred; if you think you may be the right fit for the role, please still apply.
