Due to growth, we're seeking a Site Supervisor to join their team in Newcastle.
The ideal candidate will be mechanically trade qualified and will provide guidance and support to the teams to ensure quality, revenue and deadline targets are met. You will also be responsible for managing key client relationships whilst identifying opportunities for ongoing project needs, provide technical support to the workshop as well as manage the delivery of key projects on customer sites.
This role will be a 40/60 split between hands-on and office based work.
The Role Prepare work scope, plan and execute site works as per client requirements, including internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and organization of parts, consumables, and equipment. Actively liaise with key client stakeholders on sites to ensure strong relationships and the development of upcoming opportunities and projects. Provide supervisory and/or technical assistance to teams both on site and in the workshop as required. Set priorities, plan workload, meet deadlines, and achieve the objectives of the branch. Supervise, train, and develop the skills of the site service team. Complete all documentation and tasks in line with policies and procedures. Actively support the Company's WHS program by carrying out necessary tasks as directed by the management team and/or the WHS representatives as outlined under Workplace Health and Safety legislation. What We're Looking For Mechanical Trade qualification (e.g., Fitter, Heavy Vehicle, Plant Mechanic). Previous experience in a leading hand or supervisory role. Ability to mentor staff and achieve productivity levels and morale. Experience with communicating with customers, quoting, and negotiating. Ability to identify and develop opportunities through building relationships with clients. Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in installation of equipment with the ability for fault finding. Preventative/planned maintenance experience. Experience working on industrial or manufacturing processing/production lines. Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. Ability to troubleshoot. Assembly and disassembly of components. Be a team player with a positive can-do attitude.
