WSP is looking for experienced Site Supervisors with extensive Geology/Geotechnical experience for an exciting project in QLD! This role will see you enhance your capabilities and the reputation of WSP QLD Geotechnical team.
You will collaborate with other talented professionals and be a key member of what is a truly iconic Energy Transition project, which will help drive future ready outcomes and benefit communities and generations to come.
Geotechnical & Tunnels: Our Geotechnical and Tunnels team is driven by a passion for technical excellence and innovation. Our specialised, forward-looking expertise addresses the evolving challenges that earth, environment, and energy present to our clients and communities.
What you'll do: Working a roster of 12 days on, 10 days off, or 10 days on, 4 days off, you will be overseeing the day-to-day works comprising geotechnical drilling, downhole testing, laboratory testing, and instrument installation.
Based onsite during your stint at a Project base camp, accommodation and food will be provided to you. A gym will also be available at camp, and a bus will be used to mobilise personnel to and from the camp from Brisbane.
Overtime incurred will be paid in accordance with WSP Overtime policy – full details will be relayed prior to your commencement.
About You: To be considered, you must have: A geology, Engineering Geology, or Geotechnical Engineering backgroundExtensive site experience in major field programs and/or large projectsDemonstrated prior experience performing geotechnical logging (soil and rock) with AS 1726:2017An Australian Driver's licence and prior experience with 4WD vehiclesIdeally, you will also possess the following: Experience with ANCOLD Geotechnical Guidelines (2020)Experience with in-situ testing: packer, pressure meter, DST, overcoringExperience with deep drilling (>100m) and inclined holesExperience with WVP installationIn addition, you will bring the following skills and attributes: Problem solver with a great team spiritOpenAdaptableReady to do the kind of work the world needsIf this sounds like the role for you, please apply today!
