Feel like part of the Crew, not just another candidate sent to an assignment and forgotten about.About our Client:Our Client is a gold mine located approximately 250 km south of Darwin, 50 km north of Katherine.We are currently recruiting for an experienced management professional for the role of Site Superintendent.
This role requires weekly travel and will be based in Katherine, Northern Territory.About the Role:The role will be responsible for allocating, monitoring, and controlling the daily activities associated with the mine that is in Care & Maintenance.
Effectively supervising employees and subcontractors, ensuring work practices are safe and healthy and compliant with all applicable Northern Territory and Federal legislation while adhering to organizational corporate policies and procedures.Maintaining, further developing, & implementing OHS&E procedures that meet legislative requirements and contributing to the health, safety, and wellbeing of all personnel on site.Manage personnel including rosters, appraisals, monitoring, and controlling the daily activities on site.Comply with commitments to the NT Government related to care and maintenance of the site.Inspecting the workplace for safe and healthy work practices and environment and actively promoting mine safety among the workforce.Ensuring that employees receive proper induction and training in safe work practices.Manage the induction and ongoing employee training programs.Liaison with maintenance personnel to ensure optimal equipment availability.Prepare budgets and forecasts and manage relevant supporting activities.4/3 Roster.Based in Katherine.To be successful for this role, you will need the following:A valid Driver's Licence.A minimum of 5 years mine site experience in a technical and/or operating role and a background in Mechanical or Electrical maintenance.Demonstrated Leadership skills and ability to manage and influence people across different teams and skill levels.Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical.Australian Citizenship.Benefits:Immediate start.Permanent Opportunity.Attractive Salary Package.Work Vehicle.Exclusive access to our benefits platform that offers savings at over 60 major Australian Retailers across the country.CoreStaff is a leader in workplace diversity, and we encourage applications from Indigenous Australians for all roles, females for non-traditional female roles, and applicants with disabilities to apply for all of our jobs.To become a part of the CoreStaff Crew today, please click the 'Apply Now' link to submit your application.
