JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Ampol to deliver leading maintenance and project services to their Lytton Refinery.
Wood is currently recruiting for a Site Superintendent to join the Wood team at the Ampol Refinery based in Lytton, Brisbane on a permanent basis.
You will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of work, leading a diverse workforce providing support and structure to achieve a reliable plant and the required business outcomes whilst communicating regularly with maintenance superintendents & operations superintendents to understand key risks, business threats and high priority deliverables.
RESPONSIBILITIES Lead consistently against Wood's Safety Procedures and Code of Conduct, in conjunction with client Site Safety Procedures and requirementsDeliver best practice maintenance & asset availability for the clientPromote positive changes in organisational culture across the siteAccountable for the recruitment of resources for maintenance and project activitiesActively participate in the development and update of site based operating plans and processesIdentify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost effectivenessSupporting and supervising tasks delegated to direct reports/respective team in the execution and delivery of contracted activitiesProviding service delivery support to the businessLead Safety meetings and team briefingsDeputising for Contract Manager as requiredDealing with various HR / IR related people issues to ensure effective individual and team performance and overall successful contract delivery to the client QUALIFICATIONS Relevant Mechanical trade backgroundRecognised and accredited management qualificationTertiary qualifications in applicable engineering field would be advantageousDemonstrable balance of industrial and management experience at relevant level and positionKnowledge of relevant regulatory framework and legislationProficiency in scope definitionIntellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a practical contextProfessional demeanour, strong interpersonal skillsAble to demonstrate team building skills and capable of influencing people at all levels of the organisationFlexible with can-do attitude
