Site Safety Advisor

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Safety Advisor to join their team on a contract basis.
In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the safety and wellbeing of employees and contractors working on a key response program for the state.
Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive on-site safety inspections and audits.Deliver engaging and informative site safety inductions for new employees and contractors.Respond effectively to safety incidents, ensuring appropriate protocols are followed.Check and enforce Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements to ensure compliance with industry standards.Provide expert guidance on safe chemical handling and storage practices.Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate safety risks.Develop and maintain comprehensive safety documentation.Ideal Candidate Profile:Certificate 4 in Health and Safety (or equivalent) is essential.Proven experience in conducting on-site safety inspections, inductions, and incident response.Strong understanding of WHS legislation and regulations.Experience in checking PPE requirements and safe chemical handling practices.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Prior experience working within a government department is highly desirable.To Apply:If you are interested in this contract opportunity and would like to apply, please submit an updated resume via the "apply now" button and your application will be reviewed.
