About the RoleThe Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) at ROLLER are expected to manage Infrastructure and Operations by configuring, deploying, maintaining and monitoring hardware (virtual) and software that supports ROLLER's business goals, and where needed, offer assistance to the local office as directed by the line manager.
SREs at ROLLER need to demonstrate good leadership and communication skills, be able to problem solve, be self-motivated and be able to contribute to collaborative software projects by architecting system designs and deployment processes. In order to overcome the challenges that ROLLER has as a business, SREs should be able to quickly learn and utilise new technologies and be a source of thought leadership and ideas on how emerging technologies can help ROLLER's business.
What You'll DoBuild, maintain, document, configure, support and monitor production, deployment (CI/CD) and pre-production environments.Implement and maintain security best practices to adhere to strict compliance requirements with ISO 27001, PCI DSS and GDPR.Develop well-prepared, accurate system and network design documentation.Implement policies and procedures to weave security through the software development lifecycle.Technical analysis of alerts and data from security products including (but not limited to) SIEMs, Intrusion detection and prevention systems, endpoint security solutions, web application firewalls and network security devices, and vulnerability scanning and management systems.Vulnerability analysis including triaging vulnerabilities and advising on associated remediation activities.Provide emergency support for critical issues that arise affecting the running of the systems and networks.Perform assessments of existing network elements and implement design updates as required.Refining and recommending improvements to infrastructure for the Continuous Integration environment.Proactively manage deadlines, meetings and communication streams.Maintain cutting edge relevance in the SRE space (e.g. Cloud-based infrastructure, development best practices, and digital technology) by, for example, attending events, hack-a-thons, reading books, following blogs.Maintain ROLLER's technical accreditation by studying, sitting, and passing relevant certification exams.Maintain certification especially AWS Solution Architect.About YouWe are on the lookout for someone who's genuinely excited about technology and has some solid leadership skills in their toolkit. Good communication is key and we appreciate folks who take the initiative, work well in a team, and aren't scared of juggling different tasks.
Minimum RequirementsA Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT Systems or equivalent qualification (or studying towards).At least 5+ years of experience in a similar role.Certifications related to Public Cloud providers especially AWS.Building and maintaining CICD platforms.Experience working on a globally scalable SaaS platform.Experience providing 24/7 support duties as a subject matter expert.Strong problem-solving skills.Must be able to multitask and prioritise your workload, in an agile working environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders.High attention to detail.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.What You Can ExpectInitial call with our Talent Acquisition Manager
