Work with more experienced engineers to learn best practices in systems engineering, software development, and networking. Qualifications Here's what we're looking for—these are must-haves, but don't worry if you're still building experience:
Basic knowledge of Linux systems and a willingness to learn more. Some coding experience, with Python or JavaScript being preferred. Familiarity with networking concepts like IP addressing and routing protocols. Exposure to databases, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, with an interest in learning about performance, replication, and high availability. An understanding of system monitoring, whether for applications, networks, or systems. A keen eye for detail —accuracy and thoroughness are key. Willingness to work one weekend day as part of a 4-day workweek. Now, a bit about the SRE team Our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team is made up of technically skilled engineers responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability, scalability, and performance of the ServiceNow infrastructure. As a Junior SRE, you'll have the opportunity to learn how to solve technical challenges across the entire technology stack—from hardware to applications. We focus on improving the platform's operability by reducing incidents and minimizing downtime.
