Vinova is working with a leading global renewable energy developer, seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a 200MW Solar Farm in Victoria. This is a site-based role and you will be expected to be on the project site for 70% of your time with some office-based work also.
Job Summary: As a Project Engineer at Vinova, you will demonstrate the perfect combination of technical expertise and project management savvy. You will be responsible for the development, coordination, and review of designs and technical standards for utility-scale solar and BESS projects. You will manage engineering service providers to achieve this goal and act as an expert coordinator, bringing together stakeholders of every level for effective and profitable project deliveries.
Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of design review, including civil, structural, and mechanical.Coordinate the work of EPC Contractors, service providers, stakeholders, and consultants to ensure project objectives and timelines are met.Provide regular progress and technical reporting to the Recurrent team and external stakeholders.Provide technical support and supervision for the design and construction phases of the project.Manage the QA/QC process and conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with project quality requirements and technical specifications.Conduct technical site assessment reviews and pre-design site walk-downs.Provide engineering and QA/QC support during project construction and commissioning.Provide technical direction during startup, testing, system commissioning, and performance monitoring for the Solar Farm and Substation.Refine procedures for the interface between development and engineering as well as between project managers and engineering.Requirements: Extensive knowledge of AS/NZ and other governing standards for the design of solar PV systems.Knowledge of solar, substations, and transmission lines project engineering, procurement, and construction processes.Understanding of project contract terms and technical exhibits.In-depth knowledge of DC/AC electrical systems, HV equipment, civil design, or SAT structural design/calculations for utility-scale solar projects.Problem-solving skills and the ability to take a systematic approach to solving problems.Critical thinking and the ability to break a situation down into smaller pieces to identify key issues.Flexibility to work in a variety of situations and with various individuals and groups.A minimum of a bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Technical field.5-8 years of progressive experience with engineering, procurement, and construction of utility-scale solar PV systems.Professional Engineer or equivalent regulatory body license is a plus.What We Offer: A dynamic and supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth.Competitive salary and benefits package.The chance to make a positive impact on the environment and communities.If this fits your background and you would like to discuss, please apply below.
