A key member of the business leadership team with plans for future succession. The role will engage, develop and lead driving best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to maximise efficiencies and improve operational performance and safety. The role also has responsibility for providing strategic direction ensuring accountability for cost management including equipment efficiencies, waste, direct labour and materials.
Key Responsibilities include: Strategic Oversight: develop strategies to scale operations as the company grows, through empowering and supporting direct reports. Anticipate future operational needs and develop plans to meet the growing demand of site installations as more projects come in.Leadership & Development: Engage, lead, motivate and develop the teams through people management strategies. Build business improvement capability ensuring sustained results and continuous improvement. Build a high-performance team through effective leadership, motivation, generating enthusiasm and providing exceptional delivery of services.Safety: Drive a safety-first culture by encouraging safety excellence and promoting risk awareness. Ensure comprehensive WH&S processes are in place including induction, training and safety programs.Quality Assurance & Compliance: Monitor, review and develop operational systems to assist quality assurance. Ensure that HACCP and ISO 9002 systems are maintained as well as ensuring the highest practice level of GMP.Performance Management & KPI Monitoring: Develop, track and monitor key operational indicators including labour optimisation, throughput rates and inventory against control metrics. Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions. Manage fruit volumes and process against agreed targets and earnings within margin expectations.Client Relationship & Communication: Act as a point of contact for high level client interactions, addressing any operations concerns and ensuring prompt communication.What You'll Bring: Experience: Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Manufacturing or related discipline. Strong knowledge of Food GMP and Food Safety Standards. Extensive experience in a management role within a food processing environment preferably within the beverage industry.Expertise: Demonstrated ability to think strategically and drive results. Strong understanding of production BOMs, costings and use of ERP systems for production purposes.Analytical Skills: Proficient in Excel, with the ability to interpret and manage data accurately.Problem-Solving: A proactive mindset with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Interpersonal Skills: Diplomatic and collaborative, with excellent communication skills.Ownership: A dependable team player who takes accountability and drives results.Safety Focus: Commitment to implementing and maintaining safety and compliance standards.If you are a passionate Site Operations Manager that likes to deliver outstanding results, apply today!
